I'm a California blonde girl, currently working for a non-profit organization while I struggle to finish the multiple series of fantasy novels that occupies most of my spare time. I am always open to paying freelance work. I am a staff writer for New Witch Magazine, published by BBI Media, and was author of the 'Pop Goddess' column for the first two year's of the magazine's existence.
Some of my other interests include walking, visiting places old and new, writing obsessively structured poetry, cartooning, and networking with my clones across the country as we prepare ourselves for world domination. (You only think that this part is a joke.) I am involved with a medieval recreations group centered in the United Kingdom, and attend roughly one event per calendar year, usually in the winter months.
Much of my time is taken up with working, writing, and frantically trying to de-stress from working and writing. I travel regularly both home and abroad, largely because my dearest friends are as scattered as stars in the sky, and because I enjoy it. I attend a great many conventions, both in and outside of California. As a consequence of all this, catching me at home is sometimes referred to as snipe hunting, because, well, it's not all that easy.
I live with two cats, both of whom I love dearly and frequently want to drown, as well as a vast assortment of books, comics and CDs. I collect My Little Ponies, but odds are good that you knew that by now. I was Toastmistress at OVFF 2005, and remain touched and amazed by this honor. The live CD recording of my OVFF concert was released in May of 2006, and my first studio album, Stars Fall Home, was released in May of 2007. I was co-recipient of the 2007 Pegasus Award for Best Performer, along with Dr. Mary Crowell.
I am not currently playing rugby on a regular basis, setting things on fire with the power of my mind, or filling in for the Loch Ness Monster during her highly publicized sabbatical. My guerrilla musical theater troop has been told that we're allowed on the Hayward State campus again. Finally.
Please note that this is a private journal, and as such, the opinions expressed here are mine and mine alone. Feel free to respond to my posts and to engage in discussion, but direct flames will get your comments deleted and may get your IP banned from posting here. It's a big world out there. Take your nastiness somewhere else, if you feel the need to share it. I know that this journal is not private, and try never to say anything that I wouldn't say to someone's face. Think before you jerk your knee. Further, please note that my words are not shareware, and things written by me still belong to me; feel free to quote me, but do not attribute my work to yourself.
